Terms of Service

Last updated: 15 March 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Volt ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Volt is a workout generation and tracking platform. We use AI technology to generate workout suggestions based on your preferences and profile data. The Service also includes social features (feed, likes, comments, follows), workout logging, training programs and fitness benchmarks.

3. Fitness disclaimer and assumption of risk

Important — please read carefully

All workouts provided by Volt, whether AI-generated or user-created, are for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute medical advice, personal training advice or a substitute for professional guidance.

You perform all workouts entirely at your own risk. Volt, its owners, employees, affiliates and AI providers are not responsible for any injury, illness, death or damage of any kind that may result from following, attempting or modifying any workout obtained through the Service.

Before beginning any exercise programme, you should consult a qualified medical professional, particularly if you have any pre-existing health conditions, injuries or concerns.

AI-generated workouts are produced by machine learning models. While we take steps to validate output quality, AI-generated content may contain errors, inappropriate exercise selections, or weight and intensity recommendations that are unsuitable for your individual circumstances. Always use your own judgement and stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness or discomfort.

4. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. User content

You retain ownership of content you create (workout logs, notes, photos, comments). By posting content to the Service, you grant Volt a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display that content within the Service (e.g. in the social feed). You can delete your content at any time.

7. AI-generated content

Workouts generated by the AI are provided to you for personal use. You may save, modify and share generated workouts within the Service. AI-generated content is not guaranteed to be unique, accurate or suitable for any particular purpose.

8. Subscriptions and payments

Volt offers free and paid (Pro) tiers. Details of features and pricing are displayed in the app. We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Free tier limitations (e.g. generation limits) may change over time.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Volt and its owners, employees and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including but not limited to personal injury, loss of data or loss of profits, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £50, whichever is greater.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Volt, its owners, employees and affiliates from any claims, damages or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.

11. Service availability

We aim to keep Volt available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time without liability.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your data.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
